About Us

Cob Hollow Farm Christmas Lights

We are a family run farm that is based in Highland County, Ohio. We have been around since 2012 and have raised all sorts of animals and worked on a nice sized garden that is as large as our original house! Each year we have expanded in one form or another from adding in gardens to finding different livestock that we can raise on the farm. Now, it is time to meet the family.

During the time we have raised alpacas for their fiber. We currently have 7 alpacas that are happy fleecy kiddos in the pasture. We have 5 boys and 2 girls. The girls are actually a mother daughter combination and one of the boys is our herd sire. With 2 of our boys being half brothers.

We also have 3 male geese that enjoy roaming the pastures at Cob Hollow Farm and enjoy our small pond. Our pond is not stocked currently, but the geese still enjoy going swimming in the water and getting cleaned up in the water.

The turkeys we currently have are not for sale and will not be eaten. We have a tom named Mocha and a hen named Little Hen. Little Hen is actually the mother of Mocha. The turkeys are the protectors of our chicken flock. They tend to do really well and have a tendency to keep the chickens in line.

Chickens are one animal that started the farm off. We had suburban chickens before moving to our current farm. The chickens are a great source for bug control, but also a great way to get fresh eggs each morning. So the chickens are one of the most productive animals on the farm as well.

With the garden, we have a wide variety of summer vegetables that grow each year. We tend to grow pumpkins, tomatoes, peppers, corn, and definitely plenty of beans. For our lettuce and some of the other vegetables we tend to use pots to grow the plants in. This makes it easier to keep the plants contained and free from weeds, but also helps us keep the pest like rabbits out of the lettuce.

Now, I hope you take the time to browse our website at CobHollowFarm.com and make sure you read the articles. We are going to publish articles that are helpful for everyone on gardening, harvesting, farm updates, to different items we will have for sale that are made out of alpaca, art works, and even hand crafted items.
